Support Gibson and Malina After Tragic Loss

My name is Robin Mart. I am raising funds for my 17-year-old twin nephew and niece, Gibson and Malina Mart, in memory of their mother, Jennifer Mart Norwood. Gibson and Malina lost their biological father in 2020. Jennifer passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 24th, leaving Gibson and Malina without either parent in their lives.

Jennifer battled many health problems over the last decade including diabetes, which eventually led to Charcot foot in both of her feet. This required her to wear special boots daily for many years. She struggled with recurring sores on the bottom of her feet, as is common in diabetics. In the last few years, Jennifer also suffered from congestive heart failure, along with recurring pneumonia, which caused her to be in and out of the hospital. She spent many months at a time on FMLA as a result. As a single parent, all of this made it extremely difficult to keep up not only with day-to-day expenses but also with the mounting and regularly occurring medical expenses.

Jennifer was the most incredibly generous person. She had a huge heart and was always offering to help everyone else with anything they needed, despite her financial and health problems. She was an active member in our church, planning the Christmas and Mother's Day parties, serving on the Alter Guild, and teaching Sunday School to the littles. She had the most wonderful sense of humor and always made everyone smile and laugh. Her bright light will be sorely missed.

I am setting up this GoFundMe to help raise funds to cover the cost of bringing Jennifer's household and medical expenses up to date, as well as cover her unexpected funeral expenses.
