Hi everyone,

We are writing on behalf of our best friend, Gia. We've known her since we were teenagers, and it’s hard to put into words how surreal it feels to say that she has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Gia will undergo surgery this week. While we are all holding onto hope for the best possible outcome, she is still facing treatment, recovery, and time where she will not be able to work.

Gia is a makeup artist in Los Angeles, and like so many people who work freelance in the film industry, the past few years have already been incredibly hard. Work has become less consistent, and simply getting by has meant drawing down the savings she worked so hard to build. Facing a cancer diagnosis on top of that is overwhelming in every way.

Anyone who knows Gia knows she is strong, funny, creative, deeply caring, and always there when someone needs her. She brings so much beauty and heart into the world, not just through her work, but through the way she shows up for people. She is not someone who asks for help easily, which is why we wanted to step in for her during this time.

We don’t want Gia to go through this alone. We are raising money to help cover her medical expenses and treatments while she focuses on healing.If you’re able to donate, any amount will make a real difference. And if not, no worries, even sharing this page would mean so much.
