Hello, my name is Steffany, and I’m setting up this GoFundMe campaign for my friend Ashton, Ben and their daughter, Giavanna. As some of you may know, Gia is a spirited, intelligent, and playful four-year-old who has already faced numerous challenges since birth. She was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and underwent numerous surgeries and braces throughout her life.

On Wednesday, February 19th, Gia was admitted to Children’s Hospital due to her unwellness. Tragically, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. On Friday, they completed a bone marrow biopsy, confirming her Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia diagnosis. Gia’s journey ahead begins tomorrow, Monday, February 24th, with a port placement, chemotherapy, and a spinal tap scheduled for this week. She has a long and arduous road ahead, with several weeks in the hospital and at least 2.5 years of treatments anticipated.

Ashton, Gia’s mother, is currently 22 weeks pregnant. She will be taking Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave from work to be by Gia’s side at the hospital, and ensuring she attends all appointments and treatments upon discharge. This financial burden will be significant for Ashton and Ben.

Your generous donation will assist with medical expenses, logistics related to frequent trips to Children’s Hospital, meals, and any unexpected costs that may arise during this challenging battle against Leukemia.
