On April 8, 2026, just days before his 20th birthday, my son Gianni was involved in a devastating car accident caused by a fraudulent act. A man with no insurance, driving a pickup truck with a ball hitch, violently pulled in front of Gianni and slammed on his brakes, leaving Gianni no time to react. This type of insurance fraud is becoming more common, and unfortunately, Gianni became a victim.

The impact was severe—Gianni’s head struck the windshield, resulting in a major concussion, memory loss, and cuts to his head and arms. Shockingly, the airbags and restraint systems failed to deploy. While the other driver walked away unharmed and is now suing Gianni for damages, Gianni’s car was totaled, and he has been left to recover from his injuries at home after multiple ER visits and CT scans.

Despite paying insurance premiums for over 26 years, our insurance company has refused to cover any of the medical or car expenses. Gianni has retained a personal injury attorney, but for now, we are facing thousands of dollars in medical bills and the loss of his car.
