On Monday, Giannie received one of the most devastating calls anyone could imagine — her apartment was on fire. She was at work when a friend called to tell her what was happening, and she had to rush out immediately, praying her dogs were safe.

By God’s grace, both of her dogs made it out alive, though one of them was injured and is now receiving care and healing. While she’s incredibly grateful that they’re safe, she lost nearly everything she owned in the fire.

This has been an emotional and overwhelming experience — trying to process the shock, care for her injured dog, and figure out how to start over.

Anyone who knows Giannie knows how selfless, kind, and full of love she is. She’s always the first to show up for others, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.
