On 1/7/2026, my two teenage sons were leaving Bible study and were on West Turner Road in Prichard, AL, when they were struck by a truck while in the turning lane. The truck DID NOT TURN, nor did the truck stop at all to help. Gianni (17) carried his unconscious brother Kristian (16) home on his back, all while being injured himself. My kids are psychologically affected and have lost trust in humanity because this was intentional, being that the driver was never going to turn in the first place. My son Gianni is very athletic and was seeking a track and field scholarship; now he has a long road of recovery ahead of him with orthopedics, but he said he would do it all again. Kristian caught the worst of the impact and is going through wound care as well, and can't sleep at all without nightmares. I need to take time off from work to focus on their physical and mental health. I'm asking for whatever can be donated towards their future in case my son can no longer obtain his track and field scholarship and for both boys to have therapy going forward.
