Welcome to The Martini Shot !!

Gianna Desiderioscioli and Emily Statler are fundraising for their senior thesis student film! Gianna and Emily have been working together as a producing and directing pair ever since their freshman year of college and they are so excited to get to share this story that they have been developing for the past two years.

What is this film?

Two actors starring in a Hollywood Blockbuster begin a fake romance to stir up publicity for their movie. Along the way, lines begin to blur from what's real and fake.

Where will this money go?

We are raising money to hire professional actors, to obtain quality locations, and to purchase props and decor to create an accurate setting for our film. We are raising money to feed our cast and crew while working on set, to reimburse transportation, and to hopefully submit to film festivals upon completion.

Meet the Creators

Emily Statler - Emily has been directing shorts and various productions since first entering film school three years ago. She took an advanced directing class which sparked her passion for working with actors and trying to understand what makes their characters tick. She spent last semester in Los Angeles working for a Talent Agency which allowed her to get an inside look at currently established actors daily obligations. She has worked on sets in learning to understand every position and respects filmmaking as a collaborative effort. She is so excited to make this film a reality and to watch this story come to life.

Gianna Desiderioscioli - Gianna has produced a multitude of projects throughout her years at Ithaca, both short films and television epsiodes and pilots. She has been working on her screenwriting the past three years as well, through her minors classes and is excited to get the opportunity to produce one of her original works. She recently interned in Los Angeles in the Office of the President, at 20th Television, within Walt Disney Studios, where she got to really work on her understanding of script development and producing. This is a script that was adapted from a feature film she began writing sophomore year and she is so excited to get to see it on screen soon!
