Meet Gianluca, a brave and beautiful 10-year-old boy born with the chromosome of love—Down syndrome. Gianluca faces congenital issues in his feet, legs, and hips that cause him severe pain and gradually limit his mobility. Despite undergoing surgeries in Peru, the results were not successful.

Determined to find the best care for her son, Gianluca’s mother, Carla, tirelessly searched across countries and finally found hope with specialists in the United States. This year, Gianluca and Carla traveled to the U.S., where he began a series of surgeries aimed at improving his ability to walk and live without pain. Sadly, to support her son through this critical process, Carla had to leave her job in Lima, Peru.

There are still four more surgeries needed to give Gianluca the chance to walk better and pain-free. They need help to cover food and lodging costs during their stay in the U.S. for the next phases of treatment.

Despite everything Gianluca has endured, he continues to share his radiant smile with everyone around him. Let’s come together to help him keep that beautiful smile and achieve the life he deserves!
