After a month of urgent vet visits and testing, my 9 year old cat, Ghost, was diagnosed with hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease) caused by IBD-related anorexia. Over the last month, we have spent $1,300 on emergency care, diagnostics, and stabilization. Unfortunately, those expenses have left us unable to afford more definitive testing and aggressive life-saving treatment.
He urgently needs a feeding tube and medication to prevent more damage to his liver, with an estimated $1,200 more in care including ultrasound, a feeding tube, and an expensive prescription diet. Without treatment, hepatic lipidosis can be fatal, but with proper support, he has a real chance to recover and begin eating on his own again.
We’re in a very difficult financial spot and don’t know how we can move forward without help. Any donation or share helps relieve some of this burden and gives him the chance he deserves. Any support at all means the world to us.
