2026 UPDATE:

Hello! If you dont know who I am, please scroll below for more in-depth information. I did not share the second surgery was coming up out of anxiety towards the whole situation.

For part one of this, we successfully raised $1455 towards keeping Ghost as comfortable and entertained as necessary. This went towards diapers, cast scratchers, and more. So for those of you who helped out, yoiu are eternally appreciated.

This is PART TWO of his surgical journey. We need some help with accommodations that we need to keep Ghost comfortable. We now live on a THIRD floor which has left us landlocked without ways to maneuver him efficiently around the house, OR outside of it.

We are in a stressful time as people so I understand if you cant help too much, we fully understand and just ask you to share the fund. We will be in this cast for the next 6+ weeks again so please, again, share and donate when you can. Thank you!

-2025-

Hello to all who have stumbled upon our fundraiser. My name is Rochellyne and I am the 26 year old mom of 3 beautiful kids. One of which we are raising funds for.

Our second child, Ghost, has a rare hip malformation called “Coxa Vara”. In most cases, they find it in one hip of 1 in 25,000 children. Our Ghostie unfortunately has it in both.

This Thursday (March 20th 2025), Ghost will be undergoing a double hip surgery to correct the angle of the growth plates. It has been a long two years learning about and preparing for this procedure. Amidst all the housing insecurity we have faced, we have made CERTAIN that his medical needs have not gone untended to.

If you are not familiar with our story, we are currently and have been homeless since August 2024 and have to move this Friday (March 21st 2025,) in preparation for Ghost to return from the hospital with me. The new shelter unit we are moving to does ensure we have things such as larger walk ways and a first floor ramp which we appreciate regardless of the timing.

Having a child need surgery is one thing but facilitating a move ONE DAY AFTER is definitely going to put some pressure on accuracy and assistance.

I have decided to reach out and ask for help in any capacity to proceed with a little ease these next couple months. We don’t ask for anyone to damage their own finances to help, but if you can help, our family would very much appreciate it and you.

We are looking to raise funds for things/situations like transportation to and from appointments in emergency (our medical transportation has not been reliable), pain medication, furniture alternatives/cushions to support his hips and legs and whatever hits the fan as it seems to keep doing.

I have added example photos of the type of cast Ghost will be in following the surgery. There WILL be a surgery to take out the rods they will be placing in this week but we are not sure of the timeline for that yet. We hate that he has to endure this but ultimately, we need to do what’s best as parents and proceed with the procedures.

Thank you for your time. Thank you for your care. And please share to help spread the message.

Thank you again!
