Emergency Appeal: Flood Disaster Relief for Talidass Roshan District Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan

A devastating flood disaster has struck Talidass Roshan, Ghizer (Gilgit-Baltistan) on 20th of August, 2025 where a sudden Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) engulfed the entire community. Within moments, homes, schools, fields, and livelihoods were swept away, leaving families stranded, homeless, and in urgent need of help.
This tragedy has shaken the people of Ghizer to their core. Hundreds have been displaced, and many have lost everything they had built over generations. Essential needs such as food, clean drinking water, clothing, and shelter are in critical shortage. Children, the elderly, and women are suffering the most in this emergency.
We are launching this GoFundMe emergency appeal to raise funds for:
• Emergency shelter and tents for displaced families
• Food packs and clean drinking water
• Warm clothing and blankets
• Medical support for injured and vulnerable individuals
• Long-term rehabilitation of the affected community
