>>>ME AND MUM ARE WALKING FROM MANCHESTER TO LIVERPOOL ON THE 31ST MAY! Any donations towards this cause would be greatly greatly appreciated! More info at the end of this text<<<
Hello, my name is Amy, and I am reaching out to seek your support in fundraising for a life-changing opportunity. We aim to bring a group of young Ghanaians to the UK to participate in an international camp organized by The Woodcraft Folk, a youth empowerment group dedicated to education for social change.
Having been a part of The Woodcraft Folk for most of my life, I have experienced first-hand the profound impact these camps can have. They opened my mind to diverse global contexts and provided me with invaluable experiences that I will always cherish.
When I was living in Ghana last year, I interned with Youth Advocates Ghana, an NGO led by the inspiring Emmanuel. Coincidentally, Emmanuel had already heard of The Woodcraft Folk and had attended a camp himself. He attempted to bring a group of young people to the camp but, unfortunately, was unable to secure enough funding.
Understanding the transformative power of cross-cultural experiences and the unique tools that The Woodcraft Folk offers, I am determined to help create this incredible opportunity for these young individuals. This camp will be their first chance to travel outside of Ghana, interact with peers from around the world, and thrive in a supportive and empowering environment.
We are seeking to raise funds to go towards the costs of flights, visas, and camp fees for a group of eight to ten Ghanaians. Your contribution will help make this dream a reality and empower these young people to become future leaders and advocates for positive change.
Funding has been sourced from elsewhere but is not enough, hence the need to fundraise the rest of the costs here.
Thank you for your support!
Amy and the YAG team
