Support GG's Family in Their Time of Loss
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sir Lloyd Rawls and I am a 25+ year Navy guy. I am setting up this fundraiser for my cousin. So, our family has taken yet another blow. My fun and loving cousin Genequa (GG) lost her mom, Pam. We have suffered so much loss in so little time that it's becoming unbearable. It started off several years ago when she lost her father, James, on June 24th, 2008, a Navy man whose flag I have showcased on my wall at home. Less than a year after that, GG lost her little brother, who was only 18 months old, after he was hit by a car. GG was raised by her grandparents (James’ mother and father). Her grandmother, Pat, died in September of 2018. In 2020, her other younger brother, ‘Lil James,’ died on June 24th, ON their dad’s birthday, in a car accident at the age of 20. On New Year's Day 2022, her close cousin Amir died at the age of 21. Two months later, Amir’s mom, Yolanda, was gunned down ON HIS BIRTHDAY, AT HIS GRAVESITE!! She died 20 feet from his plot. Yolanda helped raise my cousin GG and was more like a mother figure to her as well. Yolanda was active duty in the Army. Three weeks later, her grandfather (Paw Paw) passed away. Paw Paw pretty much raised her since birth. Now this. She lost her mom, Pam, just a few short weeks after her 53rd birthday. Pam was the closest person that she had remaining. Our family is no stranger to the loss of loved ones, but the hits just keep coming on this side of the family as we can barely come up for air. All of this while she is a single mother raising three boys, one of whom she recently had a couple of months ago. Pam didn’t have any insurance, and as we know, funerals can be a huge burden, especially when it’s out of the blue. We are generating this GoFundMe to assist with the funeral costs because, as you know, this can be very expensive, and while she and the rest of the family grieve, this is the last thing we want her to worry about.
We kindly ask for your support in ensuring Pam receives the funeral she deserves because she was very hardworking and also was an amazing woman who most definitely lived her life to create memories with her children and grandchildren, all while helping her own mother before she passed. Your donation, no matter how small, will greatly assist in covering the funeral costs and expenses.
Thank you for your generosity during this difficult time.
PS,
If you are unable to donate at this time, PLEASE share this post. Someone you know for surely will be able to.
