On November 12, 2024, our lives were turned upside down when my husband, Gerson Méndez, and his son were involved in a devastating accident. Gerson suffered a stroke, leading to a Grade 3 Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI). This severe brain injury has left him facing significant physical and neurological challenges.
