Support German and his family

Hello friends, my name is Lexi Nielsen. German Cruz is a friend and colleague whom I've been honored to know for the past 10 years here in Oak Park IL. He moved here from Mexico when he was young, to seek a better life for himself and his wife. He has served our community as a skilled contractor for over two decades; no job is ever too small or too big for him.  German and his wife Alma have raised their young children here and have seen them grow from babies to graduating high school, and hope to see them continue to thrive in our great country.

But yesterday German was picked up in an ICE raid and is currently being held in jail, and facing the possibility of being separated from his family and sent back to Mexico. I ask that you please consider a donation to help German and Alma's legal bills and help his family pay their bills while German is in jail. The immigration lawyer is expected to cost $6,000 alone, and that does not take into consideration the bills that will accrue while German is unable to work. Any support is greatly appreciated. The funds will be withdrawn by German's cousin Miguel on the family's behalf so that he can get the money to German's family for their lawyer and house bils while German is detained.

People like German built this country - my own family were immigrants from Ireland and sold meat from a truck. We need to support and help those who make our communities great. Thank you!
