On July 16th, our beloved husband, father, friend, and pastor, Gerald, was involved in a life-altering semi-truck accident. While Gerald is fortunate to be alive, the road to recovery will be long and challenging. The accident left Gerald with severe injuries, including a fractured right tailbone, a serious knee laceration, right shoulder lacerations, bruises on his right side, two broken ankles, a broken fibula on his left leg, and his right big toe needing to be pinned due to it being almost cut off, requiring surgery, extensive rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care. This accident has left Gerald unable to walk, and he uses a wheelchair. Just recently, we found out that his right toe might need to be amputated due to a possible bone infection, and his right front and back tailbone need to be repaired with another surgery due to the screws being cracked and the front tailbone not being attached during the first surgery.
Our goal is to raise $12,000 to cover Gerald's medical and daily living expenses while in rehabilitation. Gerald is known for his work ethic, resilience, and love for his family, but even the strongest among us need help sometimes. With his ability to work taken away, the financial burden is overwhelming. Medical bills and daily living expenses are piling up, creating an additional source of stress during this difficult time.
Your support is not just financial, it's a lifeline for Gerald. It will help him focus on healing without the constant worry of mounting expenses and his family's well-being. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and bring Gerald closer to recovery.
Thank you for your generosity, love, and prayers. Your support means the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness.
