Lucas’s childhood nanny, Lilian, is an incredible person who has dedicated herself to caring for others her entire life. Her compassion, patience, and love has made a profound difference in our lives, especially shaping Lucas into the boy he is today.

Currently, Lili and her husband, Gerald are navigating a challenging journey with past IUI and current IVF treatments. It’s a time filled with hope, but also considerable emotional and financial stress. As she strives to become a mom, I can’t help but reflect on how much she deserves this chance to experience the joy & love she so freely gives to others.

Gerald e Lilian possuem o sonho de gerar um filho e aumentar sua família. Não tem sido fácil trabalhar cuidando de crianças enquanto ela mesma não tem a sua, mas ela ama o que faz, e cuidar é mais que uma profissão, é seu instinto.

Eles têm tentado engravidar por 14 anos. As exigências físicas e emocionais são difíceis de imaginar. Todas as visitas médicas, cirurgias, injeções, procedimentos, medicamentos, suplementos, coletas de sangue, testes de ovulação, ultrassom, 1 aborto espontâneo e 3 fertilizações intrauterinas fracassadas fazem parte dessa história de fundos limitados, mas com muito esforço, medo, ansiedade e estresse.

Um em cada seis casais sofre com infertilidade, vendo seus sonhos morrerem com mais um teste de gravidez negativo, sofrendo deprimidos e chorando por uma perda que pensavam ser real. Se reerguer e tentar tudo de novo. Exaustos, mas prontos a correr atrás dos seus sonhos mais uma vez, sabendo que Deus pode fazer do impossível algo possível.

Suas vidas parecem paralisadas, segurando por um fio seus sonhos, os quais Deus colocou em seus corações. Leva tempo, paciência, fé e uma pequena ajuda. Eles precisam de sua ajuda para seguir em frente. Uma clínica cobrou $30,000 dólares como valor integral necessário para iniciar o próximo passo. O plano é um tratamento de fertilização in vitro, com a ajuda de óvulos de uma doadora.

O seguro de saúde, neste caso, não cobre nada. O que significa que todos os exames, medicamentos, etc. são pagos do próprio bolso. Eles já gastaram o que podiam e o que não podiam nesses anos e tem sido incrivelmente difícil. Eles entendem que uma doação não é opção para alguns. Eles receberão seu apoio através de boas vibrações, orações e mensagens de carinho.

A ideia desta ação partiu de uma amiga do casal, como um encorajamento, de amenizar os transtornos financeiros e trazer este casal mais perto de realizar seus sonhos num futuro próximo.

Family and Friends

Gerald and Lilian's greatest dream is to conceive and grow their family. They have kept quiet about their fertility journey because opening up to others can be difficult. They have been trying to conceive for 14 years. The emotional and physical toll it takes is unimaginable. All the doctor’s appointments, surgeries, shots, procedures, medications, supplements, blood draws, ovulation tracking, ultrasounds, miscarriage, and failed IUIs they have gone through have been done with limited funds but a lot of effort, fear, anxiety, and stress.

One in six couples struggle watching their dreams die with yet another negative pregnancy test. Finding themselves depressed as they cry over the loss of what they hoped to be real. Picking themselves up and starting all over again. Exhausted but ready to chase after their dreams one more time, knowing God can make the impossible possible. Their lives come to a standstill while they hold on to those dreams and desires that God purposefully placed in their hearts. It takes faith, patience, and a little help.

The plan is to have an IVF treatment using the help of an egg donor. Insurance, in this case, pays nothing. So, it means all of the screenings, medications, etc. are out-of-pocket expenses. They have been through a lot so far and spent a lot as well, which is incredibly hard.

They understand that giving money is not an option for some. They can receive your support in many ways: sending good vibes, prayers, and best wishes. But they need your help financially to move forward. $30,000 is the initial amount required in full to start with the next steps. This fundraiser is a friend's idea as an encouragement to ease the financial load and bring this couple closer to fulfilling their hopes in the near future. It’s not about how much you can give, of course, every little counts, but how much love you put into giving. Just a small donation, any amount, can help accomplish their goal to have a dream baby become a reality.
