As we gather here today family and friends, I would like to talk about Georgina and her life. We all knew Gina for her warm and kind heart. Her beautiful smile and her selfless way of loving others. She portrayed love in everything she did. She was a proud and dignified woman who had a passion for life.
Gina was born and raised in New York City in a loving home with her grandmother, mother, and brother. She devoted her young adult life to care for them. After the passing of these two amazing women, Gina was left with her brother Abraham Ureña who quickly became not only a father figure but also her best friend. His son Abraham Ureña Jr., was her only nephew, her pride and joy.
Through the years they built memories which consisted of traveling, holidays, movie nights, and venturing different cuisines. Let’s not forget to mention the love she had for her dogs Estrellita and Ghost. The family continued to grow with the engagement of her nephew Abraham to Daney Fernandez. Soon after, they welcomed her great nephew Isaias Ureña known as “Pookie,” who brought amazing happiness to her life.
Life was sweet for her...Not only did she enjoy family and friends, she had a strong passion for her career. She raved about her experiences and growth at work as well as her wonderful friends and team spirit. Amongst those friends were two special people in her life, Wilbert and Bismark. They were a huge part in her development and served as a platform in the discovery of hidden talents within her. This friendship quickly turned into a family bond. Building amazing moments and memories.
Today we honor, respect and remember a wonderful woman who touched and enriched all of our lives in so many different ways. Let me try to put everyone Including myself at ease here. We are sure she did not want this to be a sad day in our lives. So please, for her, for all of us, let’s take a moment to shift our thoughts from how much we will miss her to one of your happy memories with Gina.
