Support Georgie's Life-Changing Top Surgery

Hi, I’m Georgie. I’m trans masculine non-binary and I’m finally getting top surgery to correct the unfortunate reality that I have overwhelmingly large breasts. This has been a long time coming and it’s finally happening! As excited as I am to get this life saving surgery, life, as it happens, has a funny way of hitting you with its best shots all at once. My long term partnership is coming to an end and I’m moving into a new apartment by myself for the first time in my nearly 32 years. I’m a photographer with two additional jobs (substitute teaching and working in a restaurant) just to make enough money to live. Once I get my surgery, I’ll be out of work for a couple months, long enough to put me in danger of losing my apartment. I’ll have overwhelming medical costs and debt on top of everything else. I waited so long to make this gofundme because, in all honesty, I felt shame. Shame that I have no savings and I’m over 30. Shame that I have to ask my community to pick up the slack where I’ve fallen short. Unfortunately for my pride, the costs of living are too high to put off asking for help. The toll it would take on my mental health to put off my surgery any longer is a price I cannot pay. So, here I am, asking for help.
