If you know me, you know Georgia...

I never thought I’d be the person making one of these, but when it comes to Georgia, my pride goes out the window. Georgia has touched so many lives in so many different places, and this is my way of getting the word out to everyone who loves her.

To get to right to the point before fully explaining, Georgia has a very large and inoperable brain tumor which is causing her to lose eye-sight, among many other things, but we do have treatment options to not only get SOME (not guaranteed) of the eyesight back but to bring her back to a good and stable quality of life without risking any long term side effects. Without the treatment she has a life expectancy of 10 weeks, but with it we can get her back to normal and living a full life for 1-2+ years!

We are incredibly worried about her right now, and we just want to ensure she can live a healthy and fulfilled remainder of her life.

In early February, we started noticing some pretty alarming changes. She began losing her vision, was bumping into things, stopped eating, sleeping all day, didn't play with her toys... all in a matter of days.

She was confused, lethargic, and highly symptomatic. We went to multiple doctors seeking answers...one told us it was just old age, and another said she was just far-sighted. But those did not address the severenss of what was going on so we pressed onto a 3rd opinion (THANK YOU CRABAPPLE KNOLL)

Georgia has a large brain tumor. The amazing news is that there is hope. We are fully confident in the veterinary expertise at Upstate Vet in Greenville, SC. Her doctors have recommended 'definitive radiation therapy' to shrink the tumor, which can give her at the very least 1 full year of a wonderful, happy life. And knowing her, and her lack of any pre-existing conditions, we're confident in this treatment option

We are not the type to ask for support lightly, but this treatment is long, intensive, and incredibly expensive. We are fortunate to have pet insurance that will hopefully cover a portion of her eligible medical costs, which are estimated to be ~$14,021. However, insurance does not cover everything. We are responsible for co-insurance , and our policy strictly does not cover any of the intensive boarding or travel required while she is treated in Greenville.

In lieu of this, multiple vet visits, and other potential unexpected costs we've set a goal at $5k

How you can help:

Donate: Any amount helps us cover her co-insurance and the specialized boarding care she needs during treatment.

Share: Please share this page with your networks.

Host our Girl (Greenville): Her treatment requires boarding in Greenville, though we plan to bring her home sporadically. If you live in Greenville, know our dog, and feel like taking her home for a night to get her out of the clinic, we would love you for it! And so would she.

Georgia has always been there for us, and now it’s o

ur turn to be there for her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support, prayers, or shares you can offer.

In summary, there's simply so much uncertainty, and we're short on time. Anything will help.
