Help George Through Life-Saving Heart and Kidney Transplants

I’m starting this GoFundMe page for my husband, George. Ten years ago, at the age of 59, he received his first heart transplant. George has coronary heart disease which results in a build-up of plaque in his arteries. We have been so grateful for the past 10 years with George. His teenage and toddler grandsons are especially happy that he has tirelessly been at the ballfields supporting them. George has overcome many obstacles in his fight against this disease. But the disease has continued to plague him, and now he needs another heart transplant as well as a kidney transplant. The doctors have explained the risks, but they are also encouraging since George has strived to keep his body strong.

The hospital has informed us of the necessity of raising at least $5,000 more over the amount we have already saved. This is needed to cover any post-transplant medication not covered by insurance and increased living expenses of living in Nashville six to twelve weeks. It will also help with other necessary expenses as I focus on helping George recover.
