Help Me Represent Team USA at the U19 World Rowing Championships in Lithuania this summer!
Hi, my name is George Dolce and I’ve been given the opportunity of a lifetime:
This summer, I’ve been invited to attend the U.S. Rowing Selection Camp in Chula Vista, California, where I’ll train and compete for a spot on Team USA to race at the U19 World Rowing Championships in Trakai, Lithuania this August.
Rowing has been at the center of my life for the past five years — A curious whim that turned into a rewarding passion. Besides learning how to row (pretty well it turns out) it’s taught me resilience, leadership, and the value of relentless effort. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this sport (and let's face it, sometimes tears), and I’m honored to now be on the prestigious path toward representing our great country again on the international stage.
Why This Opportunity Matters Even More
As some of you may know, lightweight rowing was recently removed from the Olympic program. That means the World Rowing Championships are now the highest international stage for lightweight athletes like me. Competing at Worlds is no longer just a step toward the Olympics — it is the pinnacle. That makes this opportunity even more meaningful, and I’m more motivated than ever to give it everything I’ve got.
What I’m Raising Funds For
While I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity, the journey comes with significant costs. I’m raising $10,000 to help cover:
- Selection Camp & Worlds fees
- Round-trip airfare to Chula Vista, CA
- Equipment & training gear
- Travel essentials and team support costs
Every donation — no matter how big or small — brings me one stroke closer to my goal of representing USA in Lithuania.
My Rowing Journey So Far
Over the past few years, I’ve worked hard to represent my club Row America Rye, my team, and my country through US Rowing.
Here are some of my accomplishments:
- Bronze Medal – Men's U16 8+ at Youth National Championships (2022, Sarasota, FL)
- Gold Medal – Men's U19 8+ at Youth National Championships (2023, Sarasota, FL)
- Gold Medal – Men's U17 Single Scull (1x) at Summer Youth National Championships (2023, Bethel, OH)
- Gold Medal – Men’s U19 8+ at Youth National Championships (2024, Sarasota, FL)
- Team USA – 7th place in the Men's U19 Pair (2-) at Mega Worlds (2024, St. Catharine’s, Ontario, Canada)
What’s Next
In Fall 2025, I will have the absolute honor of joining the Princeton Lightweight Crew Team as a student-athlete at Princeton University. I’m beyond excited for that next chapter — but right now, my focus is clear: to give my all at selection camp and earn the chance to represent the United States on the world stage.
Please Join Me on My Journey
Thank you for reading, supporting, and hopefully believing in me. Whether you donate, share this campaign, cheer me on from afar, or say a small prayer — you’re part of this journey, and I’m so very grateful.
Let’s go USA!
