George’s Story

George Winn is a dear friend who is facing an incredibly difficult and unexpected battle. George was recently diagnosed with colon cancer in his early 40s, and since then life has changed very quickly for him and his family. He has already undergone one emergency surgery, and he now needs to move forward with chemotherapy before likely facing another surgery. With so much ahead, George is unable to work, and the physical, emotional, and financial strain has become overwhelming for him and his wife, Megan.

This fundraiser is meant to help ease some of that burden during a time when George and Megan need the support of their community more than ever. Donations will go toward George’s medical bills and help cover everyday living expenses while he is out of work. Anyone can imagine how difficult it is to receive a colon cancer diagnosis at such a young age, and every act of kindness will make a real difference for this family.
