As you all know football is all George has ever known. From being at Sale United, then making his way to academy football at Man United, Burnley & then eventually at stoke. George has now been playing non-league football for 3 seasons and has been playing really well in the middle for Cheadle Town.

Unfortunately three weeks ago George injured his knee in training & went to see a specialist last week that told him he had torn his ACL which then would require for him to have surgery. Which he is having next Thursday.

George has had one of the toughest years after losing his dad earlier in the year who came to watch him all the time & when George was younger he travelled up and down the country taking George to wherever he was playing while he was in academy football.

George is determined to get back playing football as quickly as possible. His mental strength has been top over the past year with everything that’s happened. This is just another challenge he has to overcome and I’m pretty sure he will do.

As the NHS wait time is too long for the operation so George has opted to go private with the operation which is a lot of money. But has prioritised getting back playing football as quickly as he possibly can.

Let’s all help and get George the surgery & best recovery so he can get back playing the sport he loves.
