Support The Morris Family During Their Time Of Loss

update 1/27/2025
We lost Craig yesterday. He had a brief loss of consciousness at home and was found to have large bilateral pulmonary emboli (clots in the lungs) when he was assessed in the ER. The clots did not respond to the medications used to break them up and, although every effort was made, they were too big to remove through cardiac catheterization and he passed away.
We are all devastated by this loss and your thoughts, gestures of kindness, prayers, and messages of love and encouragement have helped George and Sharon more than you may ever know. If you are able to help with donations, these funds will now be directed to funeral costs as well as yard and house cleaning services as Sharon completes 5 more weeks of radiation while navigating this new chapter in her life.

Our beloved George Morris and his parents, Craig and Sharon, are not very good at asking for help so I’m doing it for them. Sharon just started 6 weeks of radiation for a benign brain tumor and Craig is having open heart surgery on January 18. Although we expect everyone to make a full recovery with time, there are things they may be restricted from doing like house work and yard maintenance. George can’t stay with them in Florida for their full recovery and, even if he could, we all know how he feels about yard work! If you happen to know Craig, he would be pushing a lawn mower 2 weeks after surgery because he “feels ok enough.”
In that spirit, I’m gathering funds to put towards hiring yard and cleaning services until they are both back to 100 percent. Think of it as a digital way to just stop by and mow the lawn or drop off a meal.
All three of these wonderful people give so much to their friends and communities and would never ask for anything in return. Let’s show them how much they mean to us and that kindness will always be repaid. Thanks friends!
