My name is Jay Gonzalez. I am raising money for my friend George Mathieus. He is a Combat Veteran who is suffering from ALS. He was diagnosed about 2 years ago and is now completely immobile and needs 100 % care from his wife Jeanne. Living as a long time Cape Coral Resident and avid fisherman to include years as a Cape Coral Tarpon Hunters member, Georges condition has deteriorated so much that they had to use up life savings and pay $48000 to Med Flight him to Montana as he wanted to pass with family. George usually travels in a vehicle to drive to Montana, but due to his condition deteriorating so much he was unable to travel that way. While in Montana they were informed of a new procedure dealing with Stem Cells that have had good results. They could not afford a medical flight again so they risked driving cross country for the opportunity to get this treatment. Now they are in NJ having to pay $150/night plus additional costs. They cant afford a stay in Nurse or support for this so his wife Jeanne is doing everything and is absolutely exhausted. After the treatment they will make the trip to Montana again.

Please if you can help in anyway it truly would be a blessing. They are military family and an avid outdoors family and this disease is horrible. In two years he went from climbing mountains to 100% immobile. The physical and mental stress this is on them is unbearable and they handle it the best way they can. They are in need so please help.

The Funds will be used to help compensate the thousands used for travel and lodging. Also to see if we can fly George back to Montana and not risk the 6 -8 day drive back.
