George Jones was my only grandfather growing up, and he was truly a pillar in my life. He passed away unexpectedly on January 1st, 2026 at the age of 90, leaving a deep void in our family and in the hearts of everyone who knew him. George was always looking out for the family, helping us through everyday life struggles with kindness and wisdom. He was a very active and social person, making friends wherever he went, and he was especially popular with his neighbors in Brooklyn and with my neighbors here on Long Island. The news of his passing devastated many, as he touched so many lives with his warmth and generosity.

As we prepare to honor George’s memory, my family is facing the financial burden of funeral and cremation expenses, as well as the costs of lodging for family members who will be traveling to attend the upcoming funeral. We want to give George the farewell he deserves, surrounded by loved ones who meant so much to him.
