We are raising money to support the United States Geography Team at the premier high school geography competition in the world!

In 2025, the International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. We expect 50 countries to compete. Each team consists of two team leaders (coaches) and four students (age 16-19) who are selected through competitive national examinations.

In addition to the $3600 registration fee, we have additional expenses such as airfare (about $1500 per person), additional hotel nights, team shirts and other swag to bring with us to the cultural night at iGeo.

The photo above shows Team USA at the US Embassy in Dublin 2024. This team finished #1 in the world in overall ranking!

The competition includes a written exam, a multimedia exam, and field work. Additional events include a cultural night, a poster presentation on a theme of geography, and excursions around the host country.

As you can imagine, the logistics of traveling with two team leaders and four teenage geographers can be expensive. Teams are required to pay for their own travel expenses.
