Hey everyone, if you haven’t already heard, Geoff Gutheil is having to have open heart surgery down at Cedar Sinai in the following week. We’ve never wanted to do this, but the time has come to ask for help.
As many of you know, in 2014, he had his first battle with rectal cancer. Then again in 2016, he battled stage four rectal cancer. If that wasn’t enough, he then came down with a serious case of Valley fever, which took him off work for another 18 months.
As things started to get back to normal, three years ago, he lost 6 pints of blood with a GI bleed. Then, 2 years ago, he was diagnosed and treated for thymic cancer at USC.
Needless to say, medical bills and day-to-day bills have eaten up our entire savings, and we’re getting ready to battle again, which means more medical bills, more cost to live down in the LA area while he’s undergoing surgery and recovery, and then onto rehab rehabilitation here in Bakersfield.
During his entire journey, we’ve never had to reach out and ask for help, but we are unable to see how we can make it work without asking for help. We are asking if anyone is able to help in this journey, we would be eternally grateful. Prayers are appreciated.
