Hey guys!! Our dear Geo Lima has been struggling with hormonal problems for a while and recently discovered that she has an aggressive form of uterine cancer which requires a major surgery. As you can imagine, hormonal replacement therapy, diagnostic testing, and other lab testing get quite expensive. Geo is an English and Physical Education teacher, and her husband, David, is a factory worker. They have done their best to save money to afford treatment for her. Brazil's healthcare is set up in such a way that for her and her husband to afford this surgery, she would likely be waiting for at least 5-7 years.

It is expected that Geo will be out of work for 3 months and David for at least 2-4 weeks, as she has no one else to care for her.

Ideally her treatment plan would look like this;

Travel to Argentina, doctor cost, hospital, hotel or apartment while she recoups, and finally travel back to Brazil.

The total cost will be about $6,000 and they are $5,000 short. The full procedure and recovery will take about 8 weeks.

Of course this assumes no complications or delays.
