Support Genie and Andy in Their Time of Need

Hi! My name is Genie Umbarger, and I am setting up this gofundme on behalf of myself and my husband, Andy. Andy is disabled with several bulging discs in his back. He is currently in the final stages of his disability application. I am the breadwinner. I have severe arthritis in my knees, which makes standing, walking, and even sitting very painful. On May 2, 2025, I lost my job of seven years because I have issues with walking and standing. I can't get on my knees, climb ladders or stairs, or walk for more than 5 minutes at a time unless I have a stabilizing device, such as a walker or cane. It's been challenging trying to find a job that I can do with the arthritis. We have pets to feed and basic bills coming due of which I have no money to pay. I don't like putting myself out here like this, but it's my only hope while we await Andy's disability case decision, and I look for a job that I can do that does not require stellar mobility as I have a hard time walking and fall often. Any little bit that anyone can give will help. We should be getting the disability decision soon but are currently desperate for financial assistance at this time. Thank you!
