Hello!
As some of you already know, I am having FFS in just a couple of days. This came as a huge shock to me because I did had not heard back from my surgeon since my consultation and did not have a surgery scheduled. On Thursday May 30th, they called and notified me I would be able to get in to have the procedure on June 4th.
So now, I am scrambling to plan in just four days for my recovery, which will include at least two weeks off of work, as well as how to pay for all the expenses related to this.
Insurance is covering (70% of) the surgery itself, and I have accumulated around one paycheck worth of sick time at my job. However, since I work in a restaurant, my sick pay does not include tips which means that I will be severely short of my expected income for this time.
If anyone is able to help, I am trying to get together $2000 to help offset expenses related to this huge surprise. If I am able to accumulate more than that, all of it will go towards my co-pay for this extremely expensive procedure.
Thank you so much for your help:)
With So much love,
Genevieve
