Support Genevieve's Brain Surgery and Recovery.

Hi my name is John Shirley. A few year ago I moved from Pennsylvania to Georgia and married my childhood sweetheart. We have a teenage daughter who is just about ready to finish high school. I have a small business restoring and selling old video games and toys. My business has been struggling so I started dashing on the side to make ends meet. We have had a series of unfortunate events but have tried to remain faithful that we are on the right path. As hard as I work we were not prepared for life's latest batch of lemons.

Next month my wife Genevieve is having brain surgery in Atlanta. The surgery is to remove a tumor that is wrapping around her brain stem. Without this procedure she could be paralyzed or worse. It is about an 8 hour surgery, afterwards my wife will be in the ICU overnight. She would then be in the hospital for about a week before we could take her home to recover. With a 5:30 am check in time we would have to leave home at 3:00 am to arrive at the hospital. My wife means everything to me and our daughter. I could not imagine being able to drive back while she is in the ICU. Or really being capable of doing so with only a couple hours sleep. Our hope is for myself and our daughter Aracelyse to be able to stay close during my wife's hospital stay.

With your help I would be able to get us a room the day before surgery. We would keep the rooms for the duration of her hospital stay. Any help that you give would also help our daughter to put together a care package for her mother. The money would also be used for gas and food. We have all been under a lot of stress ever since we learned that surgery was a must. To be able to relieve some of the financial strain would really help my wife to focus solely on healing.
