Hello, my name is Mark and I’m raising money for a woman who held every position in my life outside of a family member. She has been chronically ill for as long as I’ve known her. I’ve been by her side through school as kids and raising kids as adults. She has been looked over and pushed to the side medically for roughly 28 years. She received a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes but has felt for years that something else has been going on. I have done all I can to support her physically, mentally, and financially over the years. We believe she has a rare disease called porphyria and thankfully she has a good doctor trying to help rule things out. I’m raising this money to help with genetic testing for her, myself, and my kids. This will also help with any excess accumulation of hospital debt, medication, treatments, whatever she needs for her diet to help, and to recoup some of my expenses for the years. We have been separated for a few years now, but I still support her because no one deserves to fight a battle like she does alone. I do all I can so the kids can get as much good time with their mom before whatever this is takes her.
