This is my brother Gene’s story. He lost our Mother Helen and his partner of 8 years Thom within 3 month period. Thom was only 62 when he suffered a stroke 10/28/2025. Gene stayed by his side for a week in hospital. After Mother’s passing they were dreaming of growing old together on “The Bayou” in Louisiana starting a new chapter. Thom was Mumsie’s professional care-giver for about 3 years. Unfortunately Thom had no life or medical insurance or expenses for funeral. The struggle is real for Gene, going from 2 income household to single income household seemingly overnight, time away from work for 2 end of life events and long distance funeral, and Thom’s funeral/cremation expenses. I humbly ask for your help in assisting Gene with these expenses to enable him to say goodbye to Thom and re-locate to family in Louisiana.
