In the early hours of July 2nd, tragedy struck our home-away-from-home. A fire broke out at Generations Adult Day Services in Murray, KY — and while we are beyond thankful that no one was hurt, the building that has housed so much love, laughter, and care for our participants is nearly a total loss.
For many years, Generations has been a place of compassion, connection, and care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are a family — and this space was more than just walls and a roof. It was a second home for the people we serve, many of whom rely on us for routine, community, and a safe, supportive environment.
Now, we face the heartbreaking reality of having to start from scratch.
We are urgently raising funds to:
• Secure a temporary location so services can resume ASAP
• Replace essential equipment and supplies lost in the fire
• Begin the long road to rebuilding our permanent facility
Every donation — big or small — brings us closer to reopening our doors and welcoming our participants back to a space filled with the love and support they deserve.
We know times are tough for many, but if you’re able to give, please consider donating and sharing our story. We are also welcoming help from businesses, churches, and community partners who may be able to assist.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for lifting us up during this incredibly difficult time.
With love,
The Generations Family
