Support Gene and His Family

Update: It is with heavy hearts that we share that my father in law, Gene, passed away on the evening of December 11th, 2025 shortly before 10pm. He was surrounded by his family, his friends, and his most loved ones during the last hours of his life. Our family is deeply saddened by the loss of Gene, a loving father, devoted husband, caring uncle, and loyal friend. To know Gene was to know the utmost joy. We are heartbroken as we navigate this loss, but are also comforted in knowing that his soul deserves the newfound peace and freedom it will now know as he is no longer in pain or suffering.

This GoFundMe has brought peace of mind to Gene’s family. They are currently preparing funeral services and are still in need of additional fundraising efforts to cover funeral expenses. We appreciate any donations our community can offer during this difficult time. Thank you for your support and generosity. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for everything you have done for us.

For nearly a decade, since his initial diagnosis, Gene has bravely faced recurring cancer of the lungs and spine with strength and resilience. He continues to bring joy to our lives, even now, as he and our family face very difficult times. His cancer may have progressed, and he continues to fight as he receives complex and ongoing medical care.

The medical expenses that come with this care are overwhelming. No matter how much time he has -weeks, months, or more- these funds will help cover support for him and for his family, who are caring for him, as well as his ongoing medical bills that have accumulated.

We are asking for help to make Gene's days as peaceful as possible and to ease the financial burden for our family. Any amount, big or small, makes a meaningful difference for his wife, Tanya, his sons Tony and Ilan, and his stepson Alex.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, your support, and your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
