Hi everyone, I’m starting this GoFundMe for my daughter, Gemma. Recently, we received heartbreaking news that her kidney function has dropped to a very low level. This has brought on many urgent medical appointments, testing, and difficult conversations as we prepare for what comes next, including the possibility of dialysis and transplant evaluation. Gemma is a dedicated college student and a single mother to Jamir, her sweet 3-year-old son. She has been working hard to build a better future for them, and this unexpected health crisis has changed everything. Right now, our focus is making sure she can prioritize her health while still being there for her little boy.

Kidney disease brings an overwhelming financial burden. Between medical bills, medications, frequent appointments, transportation, time away from school and work, and everyday living expenses, the costs add up quickly.
