Hi, I’m Adriana, and I'm on the Board of Directors of the national GEAR UP Alumni Association (GUAA).
Not only do I work for GEAR UP Vermont, but I am also an alumni. I experienced the program first-hand through services like campus field trips, help interpreting my financial aid bill, and funding my education through the GEAR UP scholarship. Now with GUAA, I have the chance mentor students like me after they graduate high school - those who are first-gen, hail from modest income households and who seek education and training beyond high school.
GUAA empowers alumni by providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed academically and in life. Together, we can help ensure that alumni - from GEAR UP Vermont and nationally - continue to thrive after graduating high school.
Your donations will directly impact the lives of many young individuals. Here’s how your support will make a difference:
- Funding scholarships for underprivileged students to further their education. We've also had a handful of Vermont students receive scholarship funds already!
- Providing mentorship programs that connect alumni with current students to guide them through their academic journeys.
