Hello, my name is Shahd, and I am a mother from Gaza. I am reaching out with hope on behalf of my family during one of the most difficult times of our lives.
Before the war, my husband and I worked hard to build a stable life for our family and our young son, Karim. We lived modestly, saved what we could each month, and dreamed of a better future for our child. We had a home, jobs, and a sense of security that we never imagined we would lose.
Everything changed when the war reached our community.
Our home was completely destroyed by bombardment. In a matter of moments, everything we owned disappeared beneath the rubble. We lost our house, our furniture, our personal belongings, our memories, and the place where we felt safe. The home we spent years building no longer exists.
As if losing our home was not enough, our family also lost its source of income.
The war left us without work and without the ability to support ourselves.
The life we worked so hard to create vanished, leaving us to face an uncertain future with very limited resources.
Since then, our family has struggled to meet basic needs. Finding shelter, food, clean water, clothing, and other necessities has become a daily challenge. Like many families affected by the conflict, we are trying to survive while carrying the emotional burden of losing everything we had.
Our son Karim has endured experiences that no child should ever have to face. Instead of enjoying a safe and happy childhood, he has grown up surrounded by fear, uncertainty, and the devastating consequences of war.
Today, we are asking for your support to help us rebuild our lives. The funds raised will help our family secure safe housing, cover essential living expenses, replace basic belongings, and begin the long journey toward stability and independence once again.
We are not asking for luxury. We are simply asking for the opportunity to start over after losing everything.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to rebuilding our lives and giving our son a safer and more hopeful future. If you are unable to donate, sharing our story would mean so much to us.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Shahd, her husband, and their son Karim
