Support My Gaza Family in Rebuilding Their Lives

It's with profound sorrow, that I share the devastating news of my brother, Chef Mahmoud, who was assassinated by the Israeli army in broad daylight. Mahmoud was more than a brother—he was a hero. A selfless soul who devoted his life to serving others, his only "crime" was ensuring his neighbors in the north had hot meals and that the local hospital had essential supplies—food, water, blankets, diapers, and whatever else was needed.

On the day he was murdered, his youngest child was just ten days old. Seven children now face life without their father, a man who should be here today, continuing his mission of compassion and care. I should not be writing this farewell for yet another brother, yet here I am, calling for help to support the family he left behind.

We’ve launched this campaign to give his children a chance to rebuild their lives when this genocide finally ends. As their uncle, I will do everything I can to support them—it is my duty, my promise to Mahmoud. But I cannot do this alone.

I invite all who knew and loved Chef Mahmoud, and all who believe in the kindness he embodied, to join me in this effort. Together, we can honor his memory and ensure his children have the security and support they need for the future.

My mother, siblings, and other loved ones have endured an unfathomable tragedy, losing not just their homes, but four beloved children and all their possessions in this ongoing genocide. This violence has left them in dire need of our collective support and generosity.

Imagine waking up to find your world shattered, your home reduced to rubble, and the precious lives of your children tragically taken away. This is the reality that the Almadhoun family faces today. The resilience of my relatives in the face of such immense loss is both inspiring and heart-wrenching.
