Hello, my name is Kate. I work as an Oncology and hospice nurse in the States. And like many people around the world, I find the situation in Gaza to be heart-wrenching. I do not condone any violence against any people and have decided to do my best to support as many people as I can. That is why I am initiating this fundraiser.

Now there are charities on the ground doing great work including the Palestine Children Relief Fund, however there are not enough charities to reach the amount of people in need. Prices have decreased some in the markets but many people do not have income or phones to create their own fundraisers to buy daily needs.

With the help of a friend, Muhammed Shahin, who has worked as a journalist and in the oil business prior to being displaced, he is now living in the displacement camps in the south, we have decided to team up so he can help distribute aid we collect via this fundraiser directly to malnourished children and families in need of tents and medicine as winter approaches. Muhammad also has four children of his own. We decided to name this charity fundraiser after his youngest son, Joud. Mohammed has faced immense loss and suffering and yet remains focused on helping others around him. He and I want this to be a very transparent fundraiser, money is going to civilian refugees in need of food and shelter.

100% of funds will be delivered via digital currencies and I will update the page with pictures to document our progress. We will document the prices at the markets where goods will be purchased for children and families as well as the goods being delivered.
