Hello, my name is Phoenix Barr, and I have been a healthcare worker, patient advocate, and animal rights activist for a very long time. I've always helped the less fortunate, and after hearing relatable stories like this one and getting to know family after family in Gaza, I realized a serious humanitarian crisis has unfolded. Sometimes those of us called to help must intervene and take on that calling. I am introducing a man who constantly shows videos of him supplying water and food to his family and community in Gaza on Instagram, and here is his story.
Hello, I am Gawad from Gaza, and my family is living in daily famine and starvation. My main goal when I wake up is to find water and make sure my little community of family and friends have water. The money I raise will be given to all of us to thrive for food, water, and medical expenses along with daily hygiene products. Finding a bar of soap is hard now in Gaza, but when I do, it can cost $10 for a very small and poorly made hotel-size bar of soap. Apples are $13-$18 a pound, and flour is $100 a pound. We are in a severe crisis, and in the daily struggle to survive, please help my family and me. Thank you; your donations are appreciated.
