Help Gavin Heal and Rebuild His Life
Many of you know Gavin and the incredible heart he has - a kind, funny, and deeply caring young man who has been fighting a long and difficult battle with addiction. Over the past few years, his family has done everything possible to help him get the care he needs, but the financial and emotional toll has been immense.
After several years of ups and downs, hospitalizations, and attempts at recovery, Gavin recently entered a treatment program that’s covered by insurance. It’s a 30-day program - a great first step - but his healing journey can’t stop there. To give him the best chance at lasting recovery, the next phase of care would be a holistic program that focuses on healing the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. Programs like this have far higher success rates because they address the root causes of addiction and trauma, not just the surface symptoms.
Unfortunately, this next program is not covered by insurance. The cost is $26,800 for 28 days, and while that’s a huge amount, it could truly be life-changing. Gavin has already accumulated significant medical bills from previous hospital stays and emergency interventions, and his family has drained their savings more than once trying to help him get well. Despite all of this, they remain hopeful and determined to get him into a place that can finally break this cycle.
Gavin’s mom and stepdad have carried this burden with unwavering love, doing everything they can to keep him alive and supported. They’ve faced unimaginable challenges - from losing jobs to medical debt - all while never giving up on him. This next step could be the difference between survival and recovery, between merely getting by and truly living again.
Addiction doesn’t discriminate. It can and does impact people from all walks of life - families who never imagined they’d face it, and individuals who were once thriving in every sense. It’s a disease that can enter when least expected, tearing through lives regardless of background, faith, or circumstance. There is no shame in needing help, and no one should have to walk this road alone. Gavin’s story is a powerful reminder that compassion, understanding, and access to the right kind of care can make all the difference.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward Gavin’s treatment, recovery, and transition into stable sober living after rehab. If, for any reason, there are leftover funds or if treatment plans change, any remaining amount will be donated to the Hornbuckle Foundation, an incredible organization that supports people in recovery and their families.
Addiction is a disease that touches every part of a person’s life - and every person who loves them. If you’re able to help, no matter the amount, please know it will make a real and lasting impact. More than anything, please keep Gavin and his family in your prayers as they fight for his life and his future.
