My name is Jen Mellon, and I am asking for your help for my son, Gavin Mellon. Gavin spent two weeks in and out of the hospital in Anchorage before being life-flighted to Seattle, WA. They have finally been able to find a diagnosis. Gavin has HUS, which is a serious condition that affects his blood and kidneys, which occurs 1 out of every 500,000 people. Gavin has a long road ahead of him as they expect him to be in the hospital for another month for treatment to get his systems under control.

Today, they put a port in, and Gavin has started dialysis.
