We are devastated and heartbroken to announce the passing of our son, nephew, and friend, Gavin McCoy, Jr. on December 29th, in Los Angeles, California. Gavin touched the lives of so many with his bright smile, caring and selfless demeanor, and free spirit. His absence leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of his family and friends, especially his mother, Lashawn Cobb, who shares, “It is with a very heavy heart that my dear Gavin is no longer amongst our village. He was the light in my eyes and my entire world. I will forever miss his “light up the room” smile, caring and selfless demeanor, and his free spirit. May my baby’s soul rest peacefully in heaven. I pray no one has to endure the heart shattering pain I’m experiencing daily. Please keep our family in your prayers, prayer warriors. I love you Gavin, your momma and family!”
