Support Gavin Degel's Eagle Scout Project

Hello everyone!

My name is Gavin Degel with BSA Troop 9286 out of Cottage Grove, Minnesota! I have been a member of Scouting America for the past 7 years, and I am currently in the process of earning my final and most difficult rank: Eagle Scout. This rank is the highest rank awarded in Scouting America, and in order to earn it I have had to complete a series of merit badges, along with some other requirements. The final requirement for the rank of Eagle Scout is to plan and give leadership to a service project that benefits a community of your choosing, this is called the Eagle Scout Service Project. For my project, I have chosen to restore a pollinator garden at the North Star Museum of Boy and Girl Scouting in North St. Paul, Minnesota. I am planning on weeding the area, laying landscape fabric, then re-laying mulch in the whole garden. Along with this, I am adding in a path throughout the garden comprising of stepping stones, so that visitors can get closer to the native Minnesota plants! I am also doing a couple other things, including refinishing a couple plaques and building a bat roost for the garden.

As you can probably tell, all of this will require a large amount of materials. I need to purchase stepping stones, mulch, new plants, wood materials, and more. Along with that I need to provide food and other refreshments for the volunteers that I will have with me to help complete the project. That is why I am here asking you all for your generous donation to help see my Eagle Scout Project come to life.
