Hockey player Gavin Black is recovering after suffering a severe on-ice injury while playing in a game with his team earlier this week. Gavin sustained a concussion, skull fracture, and internal bleeding after hitting his head on the ice. His parents quickly traveled overseas to be by his side, while friends and family launched a GoFundMe to help cover medical and unexpected travel expenses.
"For anyone with a child in sports, you live with the feeling of 'what if something happens.' That fear is overwhelmed by the pride of seeing your son or daughter excel at something they truly love. When your child goes down, that fear pops back up and you feel sick. Usually, your child gets back up, shakes themselves off, and gets back into the game. But Gavin didn't get back up and hasn't for most of this week. We are asking for your help to support Gavin and his family as they navigate this challenging journey. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and show Gavin that his community is behind him........
