Dear devotees and friends,

The friends and family of Gaurasundara Prabhu have set up this fundraiser to reach out to our community, as he is in dire need of medical assistance.

Gaurasundara Prabhu has been managing his hereditary diabetes for some time now. In these past 2 years, he has been traveling on preaching tours and has been so active in his services that it has taken a toll on his health to the point where just three months ago, his feet were extremely swollen, he was experiencing shooting pain as well as numbness. He soon discovered these were symptoms of neuropathy, which is nerve damage caused by intense fluctuations in blood sugar levels. He was not able to walk for some time. Being able to drive, cook, or eat was nearly impossible.

Foruntately, he has done what he can to reduce the swelling, and is managing pain with medication prescribed by an allopathic doctor and taking specific ayurvedic herbs for nourishment. The pain killers, however, have severe side effects to his digestion and it is difficult to eat much. He is still in need of further care. After much research, Gaurasundara Prabhu has found a treatment from a specialist in Beverly Hills that has a high level success rate of reversing the severe pain and nerve damage and curing the condition. It is called laser/stem wave neuropathy therapy. It is a three month long treatment.

This treatment is not covered by insurance and is less expensive when given the money up front, so we are reaching out to our community for help.

Gaurasundara Prabhu has dedicated his life to serving the mission of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja. He has helped many devotees on their path of devotion by arranging programs at his home in Los Angeles, hosting various visiting sadhus, and encouraging devotees with his talks and stories.
