My name is Kim Owens, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my husband, Gary M., as we face one of the most difficult times in our lives. On March 30, 2026, Gary was diagnosed with Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. Since that day, everything has changed in ways we never could have imagined. Gary has always been self-employed and worked hard to provide for our family, but he is currently unable to work due to his condition.
One of the most challenging parts of his illness right now is the severe narrowing that is affecting his ability to swallow. Gary still has an appetite and wants to eat, but physically, it has become very difficult. Something as basic as eating comfortably has turned into a daily struggle. This has led to low calorie intake, weight loss, fatigue, and low energy. We are doing everything we can to help him maintain his strength as he prepares to begin chemotherapy on April 22. We are holding on to our faith and trusting God through this process, even on the hardest days. At the same time, we are facing the financial strain that comes with this diagnosis. With Gary unable to work and medical expenses continuing to grow, we are asking for help to get through this period.
Your support will help with medical expenses, daily living costs, and replacing lost income while Gary focuses on healing. Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. We believe in the power of faith, and we are trusting God to carry Gary through this journey. Gary has said, “I just want to get strong again.” That is our focus right now, helping him regain his strength and get through treatment one day at a time. If you are able to donate or keep Gary in your prayers, we are deeply grateful. Every act of kindness means more than we can express. Thank you for standing with us. With love and gratitude, Kim Owens
